@RK7 @frost Well the mere existence of cryptocurrencies debunks the LibLeft claim that money requires a state to exist, so that's probably why ancoms and other leftists get triggered when you bring it up.

@frost
>I really think the average person associates crypto more with speculation, ponzi schemes, and illegal activity than with right wingers

During the height of the culture war (2017-2019), it was strongly associated with the dissident right because it was the only thing that was financially supporting them.

One of the worst things to come out of the political and social polarization over the past decade is that virtually everything you do or use is a political statement. Sure, it was probably always the case, but it's more apparent now.

Like if you use an (allegedly) privacy-focused email provider instead of Gmail, it gives off the idea that you subscribe to a niche or radical political ideology that justifies hiding yourself from the feds. Maybe you just simply want a private email provider, but given that those providers are often used by political dissidents and the MSM will write hit-pieces on them it does give off that vibe. It wouldn't surprise me if people had their job applications rejected because they used a Proton email address or something like that.

This is probably why many white market businesses and services like Steam stopped accepting crypto, besides the government regulations. All of the sudden, cryptocurrency became associated with ancaps and the alt-right and by using it, even for legitimate purposes, you are pandering to them.

Of course, this is probably all by design, but it gets really frustrating that living a slightly different lifestyle means that you are some political extremist that should be put on a government red-flag list.

Seriously considering doing some retroprogramming for the 2025 TempleOS tribute. It would have to be contrived. Like writing a Game Boy game and saying it counts because there's a Game Boy emulator for TempleOS.

I honestly like learning esoteric shit more than I do actually making the game part of the game lmao.

The levels are now bigger the deeper you go. It was something that I realized that I haven't implemented yet. This is the second to last level and the video demonstrates how it's bigger than usual.

@TeaTootler my number one argument is that it doesn't come preinstalled on computers that are sold in stores. Normies check email and use Facebook and play phone games. Most of them wouldn't have to deal with any of the "issues" Linux presents when moving your work or game environment.

Which has always been funny to me. If computer makers sold comps with Linux they would make a little more money from not having to buy windows for every single profit turn.

@PurpCat @beardalaxy The fact that even 8chan users didn't put up with it meant that you will be purging more than just normies.

@beardalaxy I'm reminded of the FOSS mascot threads on 8chan's /tech/ board and how they were mostly furbait, but a lot of people hated those threads for that.

@tomie @hachi I remember accidentally enabling Microsoft Narrator on our Windows 7 family computer as a kid and not knowing any way to disable it.

It was extremely annoying because it will narrate EVERYTHING, which it's supposed to do, obviously, but most people who can actually see don't read everything on a single page. There are things that we seeing people don't read that the thing will read like disclaimer texts on the footers, hidden HTML elements, and other things.

I feel like even for a blind person, those things are probably annoying to use, unless it's one of those screen-readers that can output braille.

What did I do to attract so many furries on this account?

It can't be my pfp because furries are generally more attracted to realistic depictions of anthropomorphic animals. Usagi is nowhere near that level.

The climate movement’s annual showpiece, the United Nation’s Conference of Parties (COP), held this year in Baku, Azerbaijan, has been exposed to an unprecedented level of disinterest—even dissent—from developing nations.
