Neither side will make housing affordable, at least not on purpose. To do that you need the price of houses to drop by around 80%. Yeah, current homeowners will get rekt, but they weren't complaining when they were getting magical "appreciation" money and getting free inflation money in the form of their mortgage. House prices will come down when mortgage rates stay high, like 10%+, for several years at least. Artificially low rates are what caused the housing price inflation in the first place.

As we approach a new S-election, we have an opportunity to question the status quo and pick apart the Propaganda being fed to the masses, particularly regarding "safety testing."

NEW - The CCC warns that the German left-green-liberal government wants to "effectively end anonymity" and make all citizens "identifiable at all times and in all places," including by opening doors to Palantir and other surveillance software.

everyone's a scumbag, everyone sucks

People who just want to sit around and get high all the time are scumbags who suck.

cut them out of my life

Without a second thought. They're going nowhere. You have limited time on this earth, and even more limited time while young and able. Getting high often as a young person is incredibly unwise.

How many domain names your government needs to block in order to censor an entire network?

Bluesky: 1 domain name
Nostr: 680 domain names, but blocking 10 most popular relays and hosted clients would probably be enough to kill it
Fediverse: more than 20000 domain names

@jyushimatsu learned that when I was in a bad spot in life and I wanted to make a game and the other guy who was gonna help was in college eternally and the other was just a lazy NEET and then both had falling outs with me after a year or two (dodged a bullet).

I'm sure it attracts a lot of people who want to say they worked on an indie game and do nothing, ever seen the credits for AAA games where the legal department and HR team are on it?

The WHO has brokered a limited truce between Israel and Hamas in order to get Gazan children vaccinated. Is there something more sinister afoot?

_Self-replicating vaccines due to be rolled out next month in Japan could result in a worldwide disaster_

FTA: A replicon vaccine is a type of vaccine that uses a self-amplifying RNA as its antigenic component. Replicons are derived from viruses, such as alphaviruses.

There are 32 alphavirus species which infect various vertebrates, including humans, rodents, fish, birds and larger mammals, as well as invertebrates. Some are species-specific while others are not. Transmission between species and their vertebrate hosts, including humans, occurs mainly via mosquitoes.

The use of alphavirus-derived RNA technology in vaccines is where the danger lies. The man-made genes in the replicon vaccines, if introduced into humans, are likely to spread not only to other humans but also to other species.

In November 2023, Japan approved the use of the first self-amplifying mRNA (“saRNA”) vaccine against covid. The vaccine is called Kostaive and is also known as ARCT-154 or, in Vietnam, VBC-COV19-154. At the time of the approval, researchers were hopeful that this was only the beginning for saRNA treatments for infectious diseases and even cancers.

The difference between a covid mRNA vaccine and a covid saRNA vaccine is that with the former, a cell’s machinery produces the spike protein for as long as these instructions persist while the saRNA goes a step further. It integrates the genes needed for the replication and synthesis of the spike protein-encoding RNA, effectively establishing a biological printing press for fabricating the vaccine inside cells.

just testing out segmented walls. i can make them look prettier, they actually just look segmented because it helps me keep track of them while developing.

i currently like this approach of just removing the lower wall whenever a player is in a room where it would obstruct their view too much. they can only turn the camera about 50 degrees each way, so they'll never actually be able to see the bottom wall of a room anyway.

as much as i want to give players free control over the camera, rpg architect's camera doesn't have collision. because of that, it'll clip into walls. i don't want the player to have to deal with manually zooming in to see specific spots.

i was toying around with fixed camera angles too and i might use that for some key scenes. it's good to know it's an option but i'd also have to remove walls in some instances doing that anyway.

@xianc78 Been thinking about that too, a lot of people I know my age are now just settled in to doing nothing and sitting in front of the computer and getting high. They seem like they're really in a terrible place but that's what they want to do. And for some reason the suggestion to something fun outside of their home is abhorrent to them and elicits a bitter response. Like "I don't want to meet anyone, everyone's a scumbag, everyone sucks" whatever. And money definitely isn't an issue for them. When these people hit middle age it will hit them hard, because they'll realize they spent 20 adult years of freedom not doing anything interesting. And it sucks, lately I feel like I have to cut them out of my life or else I'll be sucked into that too.

Is this guy a real person? He never posts anything or replies to anyone, but he seems to favorite and repost everything I post or repost.

Just looking at his timeline, it's all reposts and most of it is either stuff I've posted or boosted. Though given that "lurker" is in his handle, maybe he just prefers to lurk and view other people's post.

If this guy is real, hopefully he doesn't get offended by me talking about him. I just don't like the feeling of being stalked by some bot.
