I have spend quite a lot of time thinking about why I don't care about Blare white, and it was quite simple.

She wants to live as a woman, but she doesn't want random kids to ruin their lives. On the contrary, every kid that changes their mind and stays normal is a huge win.

Also, a bit of humility does a miracles to what other people around you are willing to tolerate.

On one hand, it's a fantasy. There's no reason for average amoeba to not be sentient.

Second: If you divide species enough, you can come up with whatever number you want.

But yeah, it's total bullshit.
Only on earth, there are 8.7 million species, so that would make the stat wars galaxy as diverse as my dating history.
