I had a rare find scouring thrift stores today, an actual metal CD. It was a local band called Desolate Angel, with one studio release in the 90's. I fully expected it to be garbage, but it was actually pretty nice. I looked them up, and in the mid-2010's the guitarist revived it and had recorded two whole new albums by himself and was just looking for a vocalist to finish them. Then he passed away in 2019 so, as it stands, that music will be lost forever.

I guess it's just a reminder that the end is inevitable, and we should make the most of our time.

Wait so am I missing something with this Twitter block change? If I wanted to see people that blocked me I would just log out or go on an alt account to look at it. I don't really think it ever effectively prevented people from seeing you. Like I hate the fucking site but really, at this point are those fags just looking for things to get upset about. @Mr_NutterButter Yeah I think with the stories especially the Typhlosion and Rapidash ones that is extremely reminiscent of Japanese and Ainu folk religion, where there's a lot of stories about unexpected things happening to people and how to deal with the brutality of life. Ainu stories, called Yukar, in particular (really just going off of Ainu stuff because it's stuff I know about) revolve a lot around "animals are near-immortal deities and basically do everything we can but better when we're not looking, curse you if you fuck them over, give us gifts for being nice to them, and frequently interact with our society in ways we cannot comprehend completely." Not too dissimilar from Pokemon as a concept of "supernatural animals" I think.

There was another document in the leak that was basically research and summaries on real folk religions which included Ainu, and the stories read a lot like Ainu Yukar. And those get pretty out there, like any kind of folk religion whether Asian or American or European, stories like that explain the unexplained in nature, and teach lessons about how humans live and interact with others and with nature... and they do teach harsh lessons and have harsh content. But yeah, it never really seemed to be a problem for anyone in human history until stuff started getting sanitized in modern times. But I guess, sure, for a children's video game it can be weird to get that deep.

Beyond the jokes though, retards I unfortunately come into contact with genuinely go "yikes" at the stories and I always forget that normalfags are pretty thin-skinned and retarded. But it does serve to remind me that Pokemon in the beginning did cause a bit of a mini Satanic Panic in itself.

Okay I actually just read the Pokemon leaked stories rather than just hearsay about them, I think they're actually pretty neat. Honestly it was more interesting than shocking, the people going crazy about it really oversold the horniness. It's more like somewhat serious attempts at Pokemon folk tales or something. And I think the more interesting thing is all the previously unseen art and random development tools being found.

@beardalaxy I don't even think all of it is super farfetched for the Pokemon world, if you think about it like a dork, it kind of all fits in with the setting. I think it is a bit different than employees blowing off steam, it looks like person who wrote all these was really super artistically into their duty of crafting the setting. Also since a lot of the sex stuff looks like it was probably written around Gen 2 and 3, definitely was an exploratory phase for where the series was going. I can totally envision a timeline, especially with Colosseum and XD (even though they were different devs IIRC), where Pokemon was a bit edgier. I'm kind of more surprised that these fanfic-tier documents were still in existence at all since they looked like so much more of an afterthought, you'd think they would've just been left on a super old workstation in the documents folder rather than on the modern computer of the GF employee that was phished.
