Poison is a female character but in the original game they had to censor it because I think Nintendo thought that women getting beaten up would offend western audiences or some shit like that, so they made her a tranny for the first game and then she was female going forward. So was she ever really a tranny, or was she just a chick with a dick? Or do people draw her current version as a female but just with a dick as an homage to the original game? Who knows. I'd be tempted to say the only person who really knows is the artist.

In my personal opinion, Poison has always very clearly been a woman, as was the original intention, so giving her a dick is more of an homage to a bygone era and since she's still a chick, her having a dick would make her a futa. That's just, like, my opinion though, man.

Perhaps she's not a real futanari, but a meme futanari.
