@Arrian my theory:

1) he is "neurodivergent" being a man with ADHD, he's different from what the "normal" person would be like so he is easier to relate to for people who are also in that sort of spectrum.

2) he's inoffensive in all regards, not making his shit solely about lgbtq stuff (and thus becoming a caricature) and not saying anything bad about it either, and he does this with everything, which makes him easy to watch for anyone. he's very good at staying away from controversy, relatively speaking.

3) because of 1 & 2, the lgbtq people that watch him recommend him to their friends in their community and from there it continues to catch on.

@Halo the difference between the ps1 and ps2 (by extension, n64 and gamecube) is the biggest jump in 3D real time rendering at the consumer level we have ever had. THREE years.

there is a good reason why games from the ps2 generation rarely get full remakes. they get remasters instead because they still hold up, it's just some of the assets that need some polishing for higher resolution displays. interestingly, it seems we get more full remakes of ps3+ than ps2, for what i can only assume the reasoning behind is that the games of that era were going for a much more realistic style that looks worse by today's standards than the more artistic games that had to work within more system constraints.

it's always about the bandaid fixes, not the actual cure for the disease. they don't want to cure the disease. they want to keep selling you the bandaids.
