@Dwalrus @Mr_NutterButter in that case they learn that people aren't going to care about them so they have to fend for themselves, and then when people come around that do "care about them" they devote their allegiance to them. those people are usually not good people, though, and the kid will learn how to be a bad person from them.

the parents have already done an evil thing, against human nature, to their kid for not caring about them. human nature is to care for your own offspring. the child learns from that.

not everything that is learned must be taught.

@Dwalrus @Mr_NutterButter being a thug is absolutely learned behavior. a child has big dreams and big aspirations. they don't wish to kill people for walking around with the wrong color bandana.

@Mr_NutterButter @Dwalrus you're not evil because 1) you do it unintentionally and 2) you feel bad about it. and evil person does things to harm others intentionally because it benefits them in some way, and they don't give a shit about whoever they are harming.

not apologizing is just a character flaw. we all have them.

@Mr_NutterButter @Dwalrus this is the difference between human nature and actually being evil though. it's human nature to want to hold onto something that is ours and to defend it.

when i think of the question "are you evil" i think of purposefully doing things that harm your fellow man, especially going out of your way to do it to inflict pain for your own pleasure/other personal gain. and only when it is not reactionary, or if it is reactionary not going beyond the necessary retaliation (i.e. punching someone because they got the last item in a black friday sale).
