yeah I moan in bed for a big mac and a mcfuckyourself then sure!!

@djsumdog @fuggy yeah the better option is to just buy a used, old switch and mod that. you don't get the slightly better battery and better screen of the OLED but if you try to hard mod it yourself it's a suuuper fucking hard soldering job and the people who will do it for you charge quite a bit. i wouldn't ever risk doing it myself.

people are thinking about playing HL2 and haven't played the first game yet, I would recommend the original over this game any day.

@LukeAlmighty @grips @ChristiJunior i haven't seen harry potter since the last movie came out. i really don't remember which one was my favorite or anything. i read all the books too. those memories are stored so far back in my mind that i can't actually recall much of what happens in the series without someone else bringing it up first. i know i liked it a lot as a kid and a young teenager, but as soon as the movie series ended it completely faded away into obscurity for me and i lost interest entirely.

over the years i have dug around a little bit in the lore and such, and yeah, it's definitely just a series made for kids without a whole lot of thought put into the way the world works..... a lot of that came waaaay later when jk rowling would just make up shit like a spell to get rid of feces or whatever. or dumbledore being gay.

as far as fantasy series go that i have personally experienced, i think zelda is the most intriguing lore-wise (even though it was largely made up on the fly and had no real connection until wind waker). lord of the rings is also very meticulously created and i can appreciate the hell out of that.

@keisuke 2003 btw
idk if gaming will ever recover from what happened to it

the time turner in harry potter is quite possibly the worst thing about the entire series

@djsumdog @fuggy could happen, i just think that there isn't too much of a drive to do so because the original mod works so well and there is already a hard mod that works really well too. nintendo also doesn't offer up payment for finding vulnerabilities like sony does. keeping your playstation on an old firmware means there is a good chance that a vulnerability will come around sooner or later but with the switch, i only really see that happening after it's not receiving updates anymore.

from the community consensus, it seems like nintendo would have to add in a vulnerability, or one would have to arise from a game (such as smashstack or indianapwns). it's possible but i wouldn't hold my breath for it, at least not any time soon.

just found out that the character @sjw uses in his profile picture was created by an artist named tinygaypirate

@Kagekokoro @sjw SJW actually stands for Southern Jay Walker. the more you know
