@colonelj @marine in br2049, replicants (synthetic humans) are given false memories of themselves as a child because they are "born" as adults and having childhood memories makes them "more human."

gosling's character, K, has a memory that he thinks actually happened, so he goes to the person who creates the memories and she tells him that it's not a fake one, it's a real memory. this whole time, K has been living as a replicant when he might in fact be a human and that's what causes him to break down.

To me it looks like he just pulled the trigger again from the recoil and trying to steady the gun.

Other than that, today I completely created 2 NPCs which run the Bathhouse and Apothecary in a village. I created their quest reactions and their respective systems.

I also created a blood texture for the intro battle scene that has been long overdue, and changed some old placeholder sprites into new ones. Pretty decent amount of work done today overall!
