@LoliHat blue pill for sure. red pill sounds kind of fun, but i would be trading the life i have now for something completely different and it's still a gamble. just because i have knowledge doesn't mean i'll have the perfect conditions to get to where i am today. it could go better for me, but it could go worse. not really willing to take that chance.

the blue pill on the other hand, means i could completely buy a house anywhere i wanted to and still have plenty of money left over. it would be an extremely huge weight off of my shoulders.

@lina @Zerglingman @matrix my favorite part about source/gldsrc mods/maps whatever are just the really fuckin weird maps and scenarios people come up with.

it's like a proto vr chat in a lot of ways and has a lot of the same appeal.

@lina @Zerglingman @matrix personally i do not have any interest in garry's mod whatsoever beyond watching other people play it and explore weird maps and shit. it's not as much of a game as it is the closest thing you can get to an actual virtual playground.

zelda has a lot of other stuff going for it that makes it more of a game, particularly one i want to play. so i payed for it

not knocking anyone who enjoys gmod, just saying why i would rather play something else.

also made a project backup because i haven't done that in 7 months lol

it's not as bad as it sounds, because i've got google drive syncing it up all the time even if i don't do a manual backup i still have the cloud version that i can actually rollback files with if something gets fucked up, and i also have a copy of it on my laptop that syncs with the cloud version.

so even if something devastating happened to my PC or one of my drives or something it's still fine.

and in addition to the two mentioned above, cloud storage and laptop, i also have the backups i manually make placed in both of those places as well as in two different hard drives, my SSD, and a flash drive. there is no way i'm losing this game lol.

i learned that the guy who develops atmosphere, the custom firmware for the switch, actually has an exemption for nintendo to use any of his code and they actually have used it to improve the switch firmware. that's a pretty nifty way to stay in good graces.
