@kateki881 @apropos @Giga_Vril_Breaker @poastoak @zero that's more along the lines of what i was thinking, like they mention someone's name alongside a picture of them so if they look like a girl you just assume it's a girl unless noted otherwise. especially with a character as popular as zelda where everyone pretty much already knows her gender.

hmm... i really need to finish system shock already, but i've just been super motivated with game dev and i've been really pushing to get all the NPCs done before the end of the year. maybe i'll force myself to take a bit of a break as soon as those NPCs are done and just play some vidya for a bit.

@smugumin yeah i always thought it was a joke too but then i had a 19 year old move in with us and when he watches tik tok i see the gameplay going on in the background. fuckin hell man.

@Giga_Vril_Breaker @apropos @poastoak @zero Earlier this year SEGA announced a new female character in PSO2 NGS and the English narrator referred to her as "he" but in the actual game she's definitely a female. I know if you translated the Tears of the Kingdom Japanese website it would refer to Zelda as a male as well, which is obviously not true. Very interesting.
