@mischievoustomato somewhat meme-y because that is kind of what it seems like it's supposed to be lol
@mischievoustomato template?
actually, gotta admit. it's really fun. still a bit janky, but they fixed a lot of my issues. if i wasn't poor right now i might actually pick it up lol. problem is i know i'm gonna drop it right when i can start playing rivals 2.
@LukeAlmighty that is a good point. if you put your art out there for free, you absolutely need to expect that people are going to share it, trace it, even profit off of it. for a very long time, people have gone as far as removing an artist's signature and selling it as merch on shirts via redbubble and shit. AI generation, in essence, is no different.
it sucks, but this IS what happens when you put your art out there. you just have to offer the superior product at the end of the day. which, especially right now, is not very hard. anyone chasing AI art over real art would likely not have been your fan in the first place.
AI art is also kind of like youtube poop. tons of people came together to make a bunch of spongebob episodes, and then one guy came around and spliced in memes and changed words around to make them say "fuck" "sus" and "pingas." it becomes a different product that someone else ends up gaining money or notoriety from, but it's still recognizably spongebob.
@LukeAlmighty i keep my resume to one page. only the most relevant information makes it in. i can't expect someone to read literally everything about me, just the bullet points that are necessary to how well i'll do the job.
@Mr_NutterButter @matrix we have some very good nature trails here where i live, so walking/picnic dates are pretty common. cafe/bar dates are much more common though, especially when it's cold out.
@coded_artist shit like this is why i never wanted to take the vaccine in the first place, though. i have an autoimmune disorder and epilepsy and i just had the feeling that i'd fucking die if i took it. so hearing people shit talk me not wanting to get it sucked.
@coded_artist what does "excess death" define in this graph exactly? because the existence of the 0 dose line means it isn't deaths DUE to the vaccine.
@Mr_NutterButter yeah lol, I know a lot of people do it for "preservation" but honestly if a site goes down there are so many other places out there. Although, I guess technically I am saving my most favorite stuff by posting it here... It's just on matrix's machine instead of mine lol. That feels different though because I'm doing it to share good art, not to save for myself and go back to later to coom to.
I mean everyone can do what they will, I guess, I just don't see the need to save so much of it if you aren't an archivist. I know matrix actually does do that kind of thing a little bit. He's got a good archive of melody's lewd streams last time I checked.
Ghostrunner 2 Review
Awesome game. I see lots of people complaining about the open world bike section but I honestly thought it was pretty fun. I do like racing games though so that might affect my viewpoint on it. The inclusion of the bike in general was sweet. I do wish you had more time to spend with the final upgrade and that it persisted into the Hardcore mode, but I can understand that it might break some things. Still, it would have been a fun inclusion.
The story is pretty good, characters are decent, gameplay is awesome as ever. It is unfortunate that it stutters so much due to what I can only assume is lingering shader compilation and traversal stutters, even though the game compiles them whenever you launch it. There were a few times it did get me killed. Luckily the game is fast enough that it doesn't matter a whole lot. Just reset after death to a few seconds ago and no more stuttering for that part.
If you liked the first game, you'll definitely enjoy this one. I thought it was about on-par with the original and I enjoyed it quite a bit. I can imagine that some people may like it more or less, but that's typically how sequels go anyway.
There is one issue with the keybinding... I really wish I could scroll through the Shuriken, Ghost, and Tempest abilities with the mouse wheel instead of clicking 1/2/3. It would certainly make things easier in combat and in platforming.
Well-paced game, took about 10 hours for me to beat it. Lots of fast combat and platforming where, even if you die (and you will a lot), you are always able to get right back into the action.
@LukeAlmighty people often like to say "look, the player base is so bad on this game, much worse than launch!! it's totally dead!" even if it is a single player game and it's likely people have just beaten it and moved on.
however, in this case, when you compare it directly to a previous entry in the franchise from nearly a decade ago... yeah that's not a great look.
