@LukeAlmighty @tomie i took pride in having good grades in subjects i was interested in. things i wasn't interested in i didn't give a fuck what my grade was and i'd do the bare minimum needed to not get in trouble. all throughout elementary school i'd get in trouble for not doing my homework because i thought it was a waste of my time, literally just repeating answers to questions i already knew how to solve. i get that repetition is the mother of all knowledge, but i think for me at least that applies more to practical repetition rather than theoretical repetition. as in, actually applying concepts instead of just filling out boxes on a piece of paper.

my last year of high school, three of my 8 classes were music production, three of them were related to writing of some sort, and the other two were religious studies (which my parents forced me to take) and gym (which i was excused from doing anything in thankfully). and then after school i'd go to do more audio production stuff at the arts university.

that year i got perfect marks because i was actually doing stuff i wanted to do.

@Mr_NutterButter i feel like portal 1 gave you way more freedom to solve puzzles in janky ways and that's why i like it more, because my brain usually goes to jank even if it's technically harder than the intended solution.

@susie @coded_artist apparently, despite the PSN requirement being lifted, they still de-listed Helldivers 2 in 177 countries where PSN isn't in service.

@susie @coded_artist yeah not a doubt in my mind about that. they're definitely going to try roping the PC crowd into paying to play PS games online. or perhaps playing them at all, as a way to combat piracy.

after watching it.... bro idk if i'm like too autistic or too much of a zoomer but i chuckled i think one time. stand-up has never really been my thing but i couldn't help but like... roll my eyes at this one.

the stand up comedians i do like are dane cook and bo burnham, but they definitely go more into the absurdist and exaggerated kind of humor that i tend to like more. this guy just sounded like an out of touch millennial making jokes about the same things people have been joking about for the past 20 years but with slightly newer terminology.
