@Mr_NutterButter NMS is reaching EOL as hello games moves on to their next project. it certainly has been a wild ride, though. i don't think the game will ever get like cities or anything like that, i think that's kind of beyond its vision.

@Mr_NutterButter yeah you know what, you're right on the money actually. seeing the work that the skyblivion team has been doing is really impressive. and obviously people still make really great stuff with goldsrc even.

and yes, just like asmongold said, the engine being bad doesn't excuse the writing, the world, the lack of features from previous games, etc. technical issues, okay fine we can probably chalk that up to the creation engine at least a little bit, but then the fact that modders can come around and fix all of that almost immediately... bethesda is just either incredibly incompetent from the top down or the management is ridiculously poor. probably both.

@Mr_NutterButter i think it's hilarious that they delayed the game to make sure the flying was better and you do barely any flying because everything is fast travel with loading screens

@Mr_NutterButter well, not so much this time. i think it probably still sold well, but this debacle will certainly affect the sales of the next game unless they can prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that it is in a better state.

but you just know it won't be. es6 is gonna' come out in like 2028 and it's still going to be using creation engine 2 and it'll still be more worth your time to buy skyrim again.

@Mr_NutterButter it's stuff like that, when you can tell someone is actually like a real human being instead of a dickwad, that makes me enjoy watching people more.

there's a reason i've been watching vinesauce for nearly a decade. he's neutral pretty much all the time and he's just a dude. just a regular dude and stupidly, that makes him unique. a streamer "of the people, for the people" so-to-speak. i like jerma for the same reason but his community is definitely *not* like that.

@Mr_NutterButter maybe they're a little TOO optimized lmao. there's a difference between making something optimized and making it look good. why tf are there final fantasy ps2 characters that look leagues better than the NPCs in starfield?

the game is super bland, uninspired, missing features, and the "creation engine 2" is not enhanced nearly enough over its original version to make any sort of meaningful change.
