@Mitsu he's going to die if he does I would be scared too
there's something about those old point and click adventure games that really unsettles me. even the nancy drew games. they tend to have these dark atmospheres and i think being forced to a specific viewpoint knowing that something will only happen when you click the button to turn around... it builds the suspense so much even if nothing scary is actually ever going to happen.
i would sometimes watch my dad play myst as a kid and i'm pretty sure myst is just a pure adventure/puzzle game, right? but it always had this super creepy vibe to it for me.
@picandor @LukeAlmighty it looks like it doesn't have any particular function, it's just for looks. and they even sell gifts that have that design on them, including replica tiles, because it's pretty iconic. pretty cool!
@picandor @LukeAlmighty they're EIGHT POUNDS that's pretty heavy. i wish i had enough money to buy one just to see wtf it was lol
@picandor @LukeAlmighty if it is then i doubt it does a good job. the sound will just roll off of them instead of getting trapped like it does with foam acoustic paneling. especially if it's just solid metal, it would likely be worse than bricks. the shape of the walls and them not being parallel is way better for acoustics.
now if we're talking about soundproofing, then metal is dense as fuck and it's good for that, but you'd think the train being underground would be enough to the point where a bunch of metal slabs aren't going to do much for that.
@picandor @LukeAlmighty yeah for just a 4x8 lol, that shit better be able to withstand an avengers movie finale
@picandor @LukeAlmighty actually yeah, looking at it closer if it was outward the shadow would be on the bottom instead of the top, huh?
@picandor @LukeAlmighty oh is it inward? kind of hard to tell lol
@LukeAlmighty studded?
