@wowaname @vokainen099 @xianc78 yeah schools being able to afford 200 macs, 400 PCs, a dozen carts full of chromebooks, etc. but not being able to hold emails for 7 years seems a little weird to me.

@kerosene @LukeAlmighty @matrix not just a bitch, but a sworn protector, 10/10 werewolf mommy
@matrix @LukeAlmighty it would be weird if we were talking about a random dude getting a hard on for a baby and swearing to marry her one day, but that's not really what's going on there. It's an immortal werewolf getting a magical sense of protection and adoration to an immortal vampire hybrid that will grow to romance as she gets older.
The reason why people don't freak out about it nearly as much is simple: it's written for women and not for men. It is hypocritical on their part but it doesn't mean we also have to be hypocrites.
@Shlomo glorious keyboards are pretty nice, problems with mine whatsoever after I think 2 years or so now. wooting is top tier but definitely more expensive (they use analog keys).
@Nos eat it ![]()
@Alex @Hyperhidrosis would lightly toasting the underside of the buns work for that instead? ![]()
@bronze i've got this feeling
it's so appealing
@bonkmaykr @FortyTwo the problem is that the people coming here illegally benefit far, far more than they contribute, and the actual citizens lose their benefits despite trying and being required to contribute more. they're offered special treatment which is a huge slap in the face of the people who are actually citizens.
as much as i sympathize with people who want to get away from a shit hole, there is only so much you can do about it. i believe our nation and our people come first and foremost before anyone else, and i think EVERY nation should think that way. mexico could fix their country, but the people in power stand to gain way more keeping things the way they are instead of actually caring about their people.
then there is the other issue that is much more of a cultural one. everyone is always like "oh yeah, i want my tacos!" or some shit, but our cultures do not mix well and fewer and fewer people crossing the border are willing to assimilate, with language just being the tip of the iceberg in that regard. anyone moving to another country should be learning the language, the customs, the currencies, and be respectful to their surroundings. i don't really see that. what i see instead are people taking advantage of our hospitality.
