@LukeAlmighty i just hate having my work environment in the same place my relaxing environment is.

if you ever wanted to see nixon playing guitar hero in bohemian grove with a solar eclipse in the background, well, here you go.

Show thread

i saw that polyphia's new album "BE NOT AFRAID" came out. i heard one of the tracks a little while ago and wasn't into it, but i thought i'd look up to see if there were any reviews, people talking about it and stuff. found a bunch of reddit fags angry that it was Christian music and anti-jew or some bullshit like that, so i was like "well now i have to listen to it."

it's pretty good. definitely not going to be everyone's cup of tea, it's an insane mix of EDM and metal. very "music for musicians" a lot of the time. but i am nothing if not a musician, so i enjoy it. it gets pretty heavy.

so i start looking at the music videos and holy shit man, i think you guys will get a kick out of this one. it's called J-BOMB. it's got a scene where a kabbalistic tree of life turns into a shipping container, then that shitty rock the muslims worship, then an epstein island building, a few other things, ending on a nuclear launch button. i can see why jews and reddit atheists would be upset :tanya_lul:

Hearing people call shibuya "Shabooyeah" always makes me cringe

I described my perfect pillow to chat gpt and narrowed it down to Beckham pillows. They're coming tomorrow. Hopefully they're good!

@Rage_Grenade it's a pretty good movie, the covers they did are really great generally speaking!

@ThighHighSock @xianc78 I was under the impression that all Alex did was make soapbox and then other people decided to use it, but a lot of people seem to think he like made fedi or something. but maybe I'm missing crucial lore.

@Rage_Grenade how do you feel about the across the universe versions of the songs?

@Rage_Grenade when i hold you in my arms
and i feel my finger on your trigger
i know nobody can do me no harm

The Sopranos: Road to Respect Review (6.5/10)

You know, I've never watched a single episode of Sopranos so I played this game mostly for the meme, but I am astonished at how good of a time I had with it. Mind you, it's not going to win any awards or anything, but it seems like the rare licensed game where the developers actually really enjoyed what they were making.

They got the entire voice cast from the show, it seems, and looking back at the environments they really replicated them in the game super well.

The storyline was simple enough but it had really good pacing so it kept me engaged the whole way through.

Unfortunately it does have a lot of PS2 jank to it. The camera only rotates on the X axis and is pretty fixated on following you around so it whips around really quick. The combat is full of combos and environmental kills but it's so clunky that I barely got to use any of it. They'll put you in 3v1 arenas with tons of stuff to pick up and ram guys into but the enemies are fast enough that it's hard to even get hits in sometimes, let alone set up cool stuff.

This game's combat and obviously the theme actually reminds me a little bit of Sleeping Dogs in a way. Like a prototype of that game that came out six years prior. You know, for a game that came out that late into the PS2's life, it's really rough. I was under the impression it was an earlier PS2 game. Doesn't change my overall feeling about the game but that's a little crazy.

Anyway, this game was super wacky and had tons of charm to it, and if you can get past the jank and especially if you like The Sopranos I'd recommend giving it a shot. It's like a 5 hour game.
