i don't just want these people punished, i want their names written on an everlasting stone monument to be hilariously shamed far beyond the grave.

i'm sorry to keep harping on this but i watched charlie's video and he definitely omits the fact that sneako didn't just come right out of the gate swinging with "do you think kids can get their dicks chopped off?" he asked first about HRT to which charlie said "yeah if everyone consents to it" and honestly it seemed like he was joking at first, but since he very clearly reiterates that statement in his video it was probably nervous laughter or something instead.

so not only is he cool with kids going through HRT, he's trying to bait and switch his audience into thinking his opinion wasn't really that crazy and that sneako was just going all out with the hyberole or whatever. not that sneako is a great guy either but it seems like he's using that to say "look how crazy sneako is, i'm not that crazy!"

i hate these people. these people with no sense of morality, just parroting whatever the popular culture is in their subgroup. just parroting whatever "settled science" says, as if that won't ever change and come back to bite them in the ass. i will fucking die on this hill, that anyone who thinks that children being able to transition is enabling abuse. that people who let their kid transition, let alone the state forcing parents to accept it, are abusers that deserve the same punishment any child abuser does. doctors, parents, the state, everyone involved in it. the kids do not deserve to be treated like this and our society is FAILING them.

so let me get this straight...
charlie thinks that a child, someone who hasn't gone through puberty yet, can talk to their parents about transitioning and begin to transition.

but, someone who has gone through puberty and is "physically mature" as sneako puts it, cannot get married even with adult approval?

do all of the same things not apply to the former situation that they do to the latter? it's not just about the physical state of someone. it is about their mental state. someone that young cannot possibly fully grasp what they are going to do. even given all of the information in the world. it's why we have consent laws in the first place. hell, some adults can't even figure it out but we obviously have to draw the line SOMEWHERE just like we do with consent laws.

it's just ridiculous to me to think that there are people out there who actually have this opinion, and it makes me question what they actually think about the age of consent as a concept. do they realize why it is in place? or is it just something they have been told to be the fact so they just parrot it? because i don't understand why someone could believe that children transitioning and young teenagers being able to marry are completely unrelated to each other.

i'm someone who is extremely invested in protecting children and i have yet to hear an argument for why it's okay that they can start transitioning very early on other than "it's rare that they will regret it" or "it makes their transitioning better." it gives me the creeps, to be honest. grooming victims also think that when the adult is caught, it is their fault, and they feel guilty, or they think that nothing wrong truly happened. we even saw this as recently as with that lava individual. why do so many people see this as being abhorrent, pretty much one of the most evil things you can possibly do, but letting a child decide their fate before they are even like 10 years old in terms of their gender identity is okay? it's not okay. it can be incredibly damaging. and i believe that we are going to see so many of these children grow up with such contempt in their hearts for the people that let this happen to them.

i hate that bringing up your worry about this will have people immediately thinking you're transphobic. that also worries me a lot. we can't talk about real issues affecting children without being labeled as, essentially, "on the wrong side of history." and it actually hurts my heart, man, these kids are going to be so fucked.

and this is coming from someone who gets demonized over loli. people will, in the same breath, say that loli is some horrendous thing and Japanese people are horrible for keeping it around, while also saying "yes children can transition, that's totally fine!" It really shows where the priorities lie and it just sucks, i really want kids to be happy and healthy and grow up normally and not have any adults with a severe lack of morals guiding them down the wrong path. genuinely, i really do, and it really does hurt to see people who don't think the same way.

so i've been watching silent hill ascension, and it's truly, utterly horrible. in pretty much every way imaginable. people are debating whether or not it is made with AI and the consensus seems to be that AI would do a better job.

i just got to the part where two characters, one who is married to a different woman, are about to partake in a "merging ritual" so that their souls can become one and they will be stronger, so they can take on "the withering." basically they are going to bang and it's only very lightly veiled as a ritual.

oh yeah and this "withering" is what they call the transition to the world where all the monsters are. except it's not really the same as silent hill where it is a parallel world, it seems like it is a different plane that can connect people even through different continents. 9 episodes in, and "silent hill" hasn't been mentioned ONCE. it's like a completely brand new story that they decided to slap the silent hill name on just because. there is no connection whatsoever.

it's cringe but in a way that makes you want to see how much worse it can possibly get lol. it's rife with inconsistencies, horrible dialogue and acting, uncanny animations, and complete nonsensical and unexplained behaviors/motivations. it is closer to The Room than any other piece of media i've witnessed and if it weren't being touted as silent hill i'd love it xD

gen 3 was the best gen ever man. maybe it's true that whatever the first gen you played will always be your favorite, but idk it was at a time where gaming was still so magical and the tech was there to actually realize a lot of the vision that those old devs had.

and the music, man... the music... every time i listen to it i'm whisked back to being a kid again. playing on my gba. lying under the dining room table trying to translate braille. i lost my gba and emerald for a couple of years and assumed it was missing but when we moved i found it inside of the couch. cried my eyes out.

that's one of the only relics from my childhood i still have, the gba and that copy of emerald. unfortunately the battery died so i can't save the game anymore and i lost my old save, but the memories are still there. i wanna go back
