@sjw@neckbeard.xyz @icedquinn @p @bagofshit @pernia It doesn't have a non-warranty disclaimer though. It's why the FSF doesn't recommend it.
@sjw@neckbeard.xyz @icedquinn @p @bagofshit @pernia The whole license compatibility issue is why I just go public domain.

@sjw@neckbeard.xyz It's actually easy to start your own OS if you know C#.

@icedquinn @p @sjw@neckbeard.xyz @bagofshit @pernia Yeah. I forgot about that.
@icedquinn @p @sjw@neckbeard.xyz @bagofshit @pernia Linux has so many GPL violations in it, that it makes one wonder why Linus didn't use the LGPL or MPL instead.
@a7 @sjw@neckbeard.xyz Well Hyperbola is based on Gentoo which is compatible with the BSD kernel. I don't know if the same can be said with other distros (besides Debian).

>the haiku devs sometimes wish they just made it a DE over linux, because the custom kernel hasn't done them any favors.
Haiku is supposed to be a clone and spiritual successor of BeOS. It wouldn't make sense for them to use the Linux kernel since it's nothing like the kernel that BeOS ran on.
@sjw@neckbeard.xyz @p @bagofshit @pernia It would be cool if someone were to write a network stack then write a Fediverse compatible server for it. I remembered someone trying to make an imageboard running on TempleOS.
@icedquinn @p @sjw@neckbeard.xyz @bagofshit @pernia I really do like Haiku and think it has better potential as a desktop OS than Linux. I just wish there were more software for it.
@sjw@neckbeard.xyz @p @bagofshit @pernia TempleOS
@bagofshit @cowanon @p @sjw@neckbeard.xyz Or as I like to call it, homOSeX.
@aral Why would you ever use GitHub on your phone?
@olmitch @enigmatico Well given that a dedicated group of people decompiled SM64's source code and ported it to PC, I'm pretty sure the same can be done to Goldeneye along with adding online multiplayer.
@realcaseyrollins @LukeAlmighty @thatbrickster I don't think you need to hide them. ADHD seems to be WAY less taboo than autism.
@enigmatico Only the PC version though. The console versions ran a modified ID Tech 3 engine and ran much better.
