@Tadano I wish they can go back to making Ys games without the modern action RPG cancer.

@apropos @ArdainianRight There are local solutions to DDoS protection like mod_security on Apache Webserver. nginx has something similar but I forgot what it was.

Thanks to efforts by volunteers Nosamu and bai0, the Internet Archive's flash emulation just jumped generations ahead.

Mute/Unmute works. The screen resizes based on the actual animation's information. And for a certain group who will flip their lid:

We can do multi-swf flash now!

A pile of previously "broken" flashes will join the collection this week.

@ItsSkyDragonz I suck at Mega Man, but maybe. I probably won't implement any complex shit the series is known for though, but I do like how levels are played out of order, so I don't have to bother creating gradual difficulty.

@binkle I briefly played that. I would still like to have enemies, at least.

I want to make a platformer next, but I don't want to do a Mario clone. Does anyone have any ideas?

Nothing complex like a Metroidvania or even a Sonic clone (physics would be a nightmare).

@lanodan @Moon It's kind of the same here, but only between family members or classmates in elementary school.

@lanodan @Moon Flowers and chocolate imply a romantic bond here.

@lanodan @Moon Money is better because nobody knows what I want.

@noyoushutthefuckupdad @djsumdog I'm pretty sure Bezos actually started those rumors so that people will push for more worker protection rackets that will actually destroy small businesses who can't afford to accommodate their employees.

Very dry read. It's more of a reference condensed from a lot of last years writing.

@coolboymew @VD15 @hj N64 and GBA stuff were on iQue's servers, IIRC. I don't think there were full source code leaks. Only partial leaks. The fact that SM64's source code was decompiled prior probably helped putting that stuff in game.

@hj @coolboymew I think Nintendo uses ROMs for other sites because I don't think Nintendo actually made their own ROM format for emulation. NES games are actually multiple programs stored on multiple chips.
