@Griffith There has been a history of plutocrats, technocrats, and oligarchs trying to hijack Libertarianism by claiming to be libertarian despite their deep state/shadow government connections. The Koch family is probably the most well known example.
The worst part is that most libertarians are completely oblivious to this, despite the information not even being secret.
@gabriel I've read it, but I don't think crypto in general is a ponzi scheme. Sure there are a lot of cryptocurrencies that are scams, but there are some good cryptocurrencies like Monero. I think using crypto as an investment rather than a medium of exchange is a ponzi scheme, however.
Trump, Musk, and Thiel may promote Bitcoin, but I will assure you that they will never acknowledge the existence of privacy coins like Monero or decentralized digital currencies that aren't cryptocurrencies like GNU Taler.

Right, but I've heard claims that Trump's primary backer, Peter Thiel is the greatest libertarian hero ever, even though he has tons of deep state connections (read James Corbett's recent series of essays if you want to learn more) and buys politicians which is something libertarians are supposed to be against.
Yes, the libertarian movement should call out frauds like LP candidates, Gary Johnson and Chase Oliver, but I almost never see any of them call out technocrats like Peter Thiel or Elon Musk who LARP as libertarians (or some other niche ideology like populist) to make themselves look like one of the good guys.
Also, people (including libertarians) are putting WAY too much faith in Trump and his cabinet, thinking that he will actually drain the swamp this time, even going as far as claiming that Musk will end the fed. That is a very huge ask and that is not going down easily, even if Trump is truly on our side.
"Microsoft Office, like many companies in recent months, has slyly turned on an “opt-out” feature that scrapes your Word and Excel documents to train its internal AI systems. This setting is turned on by default, and you have to manually uncheck a box in order to opt out.
If you are a writer who uses MS Word to write any proprietary content (blog posts, novels, or any work you intend to protect with copyright and/or sell), you’re going to want to turn this feature off immediately.
I won’t beat around the bush. Microsoft Office doesn’t make it easy to opt out of this new AI privacy agreement, as the feature is hidden through a series of popup menus in your settings:
On a Windows computer, follow these steps to turn off “Connected Experiences”: File > Options > Trust Center > Trust Center Settings > Privacy Options > Privacy Settings > Optional Connected Experiences > Uncheck box: “Turn on optional connected experiences”"

@SuperSnekFriend We still don't know if Trump is going to follow RFK's advice though. He still hasn't denounced Operation Warpspeed, despite RFK supposedly being anti-vax.
Also, RFK Jr supposedly was caught plagiarizing slogans and talking points from Dr. Shiva, but I have no proof of this as I haven't listened to all of Shiva's talking points. I've only briefly listened to Dr. Shiva and he claimed that RFK steals from him.
@beardalaxy @tomie If it's truly double digits worldwide, then that means that you are more likely to get struck by lightning TWICE than to ever come across a person with XY chromosomes that can get pregnant.
@cjd Ending the fed and income tax is a HUGE promise and even if Trump is truly on our side, I don't see it going down that easily.
But I don't expect much from the guy who started Operation Warpspeed and still won't denounce it.
@beardalaxy @PurpCat @jeff It probably is one, given the mainstream coverage and fake decentralization.
