It's March 14th, and you know what that means! God's Disdain is OUT NOW!! Huzzah! If you like the old-school nature of SNES RPGs like Dragon Quest as well as the worlds of games like The Elder Scrolls, this is the game for you!
God's Disdain is a non-linear, turn-based JRPG about a world stricken by a mysterious plague. As Tamiko, alongside her brother Kenshin and other friends you find along the way, you must find a way to stop the plague for good and either save Hajimari or damn it. There are tons of side quests, dungeons, and unique locations to check out as well as plenty of gear and magic! The world is totally open for you to explore... what will you find?
Many people have contributed to this game over the course of the last near-decade, and we would all appreciate you trying it out! God's Disdain is free to play with an optional Supporter Pack if you like the game. There is no DRM and all the game files are completely accessible if you would like to mess around with it! Enjoy :)

Hey everyone! The game I've been working on for NEARLY TEN YEARS is now officially out! I would love it so much if you would check it out! If you like stuff like Dragon Quest and Elder Scrolls, this might be right up your alley!
A massive thank you to everyone who has helped me work on it, including connections I've made through fedi like @matana and @Mr_NutterButter also thanks to everyone here that kept me motivated and always liked/boosted my posts!
Definitely wasn't always easy, especially in the case of motivation, and I'm sure there are still some bugs out there I didn't catch with a game so large. I'm so happy with the way it turned out though and I'm incredibly grateful that I had the ability to create it!
GO PLAY IT, IT'S FREE!
(and there's a $7 supporter pack if you feel so inclined )

@Hephaestic He's not perfect (I mean Steam is still DRM and proprietary spyware) but he seems to be the go to example of when people talk about why it's better not to be a publicly traded company.
>Steam does also have a semi-obvious censorship bias due to how they've handled controversial games like Hatred
They later backed on Hatred though. I can't speak for anime/hentai games however because I don't play them. They are a lot better than GOG when it comes to content policy. I mean, that's the number 1 thing holding GOG back, at least in my opinion.
@Hephaestic Even though his company never went public, Gabe Newell could be considered a role model given that he nearly monopolized the PC market yet he rarely receives criticism outside of the DRM-free and FOSS purists.
@Tadano I never been to Japan, but this is probably the most thorough video on travel to Japan, but it's pre-COVID so I don't know how much has changed since then.
They raised two generations of men with anti-war propaganda about how bad the US was for going into countries and messing with shit. It was all over the place. Pop culture, alt culture, everything. Now they're confused that none of us want to keep spending money in other countries on wars and other stupid shit.
