OpenMandriva seems to be ever better than I thought. In addition to being anti-woke, they try to make their distro independent to Big Tech as possible. They even ship Ungoogle Chromium as the default browser. This might be my go-to recommendation for Linux distros, but I need to try it for myself.

My only beef with it is that the download page seems to be confusing, and I'm not sure about using clang instead of GCC.

Along with the MRF modification, that I spent an hour debugging, because I was writing an MRF from scratch to know if someone unfollowed me. Yes, Akkoma prevents all Undo, Delete and Block activities from going through the MRF pipeline, but forced unfollows go through, because they are actually Follow activities with a Reject coat on them.

@tadano It's the GPL, there's plenty of docs from Doom 3 era stuff but not as much as the more popular engines of the 00s like UE2 or Source but the GPL license puts off people who don't "get" the license or who want to make console shit (see the ScummVM Wii lawsuit and it's outcome).

But most of the troonslop "retro" game devs are using Unity with faux PS1 graphics that struggle to run on a C2D.

@PurpCat Come to think of it why don't devs just build on the FOSS id tech engines in this day and age? There should be plenty of docs and support by now and it runs everywhere without the bloat of stuff like Unity, UE, etc. (most of which is completely unneeded for smaller projects)

I don't know why people are getting excited about the possibility of Trump annexing Canada and Greenland. It reminds me of people talking about a North American equivalent of the EU and continental superstates are exactly what the technocrats want.
