I just looked up a video of a tester playing MH Wilds on a 4090. Everything on fucking ULTRA. Best possible scenatio.

The blured textures are still present. What were they smoking, when they were making that beta?

I have literally never heard entire room laugh about an emergency broadcast.

Atention!!! Atention!!! We found a lost 10 year old girl in a Nemo costume

Na comic conu JUNIOR je doslova výstava erotických fotografií :MonkaChrist:

A long road ahead.
So, I doenload the new RGE stream
Grab phone, headphones
Sit in train... Time to relax....

Sudden realization. My phone doesn't have the headphone jack... :pepeDread:

Never fucking buying a phone on a whim again. Ever. EVER!!! I HATE THIS PIECE OF JUNK!!!

I cannot believe just how draining it is to talk to my birthing person even for a single fucking minute.

"They stole the election, so we must vote to stop them" is the MAGA version of "Trump is a fascist, let's vote to stop him from genociding the browns"

@LukeAlmighty it's crazy that games from 20 years ago have a more stable picture than current gen games do. There's no stuttering, no weird shimmering and ghosting, reflections aren't noticeably incorrect and shifting all the time, transparency is actual transparent instead of dithered... I could go on. Even 10 years ago none of this was really an issue. Sure, models and textures aren't of objectively higher quality, but there's nothing in the game that is just constantly ripping you out of the immersion. I actually end up needing to turn screen space reflection off in a lot of games because of how weird it can look. I tend to not use raytracing because of how things can get smeared with it on (which is only just now starting to be kind of fixed).

And of course, not only is the image significantly harder to look at, the games run like shit too and there isn't nearly as much artistry as there used to be. Those old games were running on systems that were using under 1gb of slow RAM.

@matrix @LukeAlmighty Good LOD

I don't want to be too harsh this early, betas are supposed to be for weeding out issues like this. Really just depends if they can fix everything by February. Though I wouldn't be surprised if the performance of the final game was near identical. MH World was also a certified chugger on release.
