At least here where I live people are already very irritated. My family in Québéc have hardly seen any impact beyond the media (except for Radio X) of the "pandemic."

My mother had COVID but wasn't aware until she had a PCR test, so it's not like it was severe.

I have no problem with with some smells being strong. I burn incense a lot during the harvest season here to cover up the manure smell in the air. However disinfectants are so much worse than Nag Champa or Sandalwood.

Also as someone who's very sensitive to certain smells, I can tell when a place was disinfected in the past hour. I used to work in kitchens and at the end of the day we'd just dump a bleach solution on everything.

It paid well but I quit because I couldn't handle the smell.

@matrix I know it's a stupid meme but this "white people can't handle spice" meme is almost exclusively anglo American upper middle class folks. Those outside of that group love spicy food.

If you go into any working class white house, I guarantee there's at least one bottle of hot sauce there.

@beardalaxy @LukeAlmighty honestly I see where you're coming from, but autism is a bit different than epilepsy. Some people see autism as a positive trait, and in many STEM fields it fucking is. Epilepsy? Idk man.

Full disclosure: I also have PTSD and chronic pain disorders. So I can see what you mean but also it's not inherently a positive.
