@xianc78 the majority of the plugins i'm using are all by the same 3 people that even recommend each others plugins on occasion so i'm good there for the most part. i did have issues in the past with one plugin that i really want to use that can't be used with some other ones i absolutely need. the plugins that i have also tend to affect different aspects of the game, and the ones that affect the same aspects are made by the same creator and meant to work together or they're made/heavily edited by me to meet my needs and not cause other issues.

this is the only issue i've run into where the plugin disagrees with the engine itself when having too many sprites on screen lol. 99% of bugs are of my own doing, but this one wasn't and i would consider it an outlier.

i also have made sure that the plugins i use are a-okay for commercial games. i've never seen in any terms anywhere that say you can't use someone's plugin with another one, either. i think, in general, the RPG Maker community is pretty good about letting people do whatever they want with their plugins as long as they aren't just redistributing them. the commercial licenses you sometimes have to pay for, but that's about it. and i do have all of my ducks in a row there. sadly, the plugin i needed to remove i had to pay for, but it was only like $3 and i use a couple other plugins by him so it's whatever.

@Jazzy_Butts i've never seen any on youtube, facebook, twitter, or anywhere else. i know it exists there but i've never seen it. on the other hand, we've had several reports of pawoo users uploading it and apparently there is now a problem where bots are signing up with cp profile pics. i know other instances have also had problems with them and that's why they have blocked them.

it's mainly english speakers that do it. the japanese audience that is there seems to be just fine. i assume that is the major reason we don't block pawoo, because there are far more legitimate artists and just regular people there than cp posters. but pawoo gets a bad rap for a reason... it is by far and large the instance that has the most cp posted onto it, at least these days (i'm relatively new to the fediverse so there could have been something worse at some point).

there is also a slight chance that pawoo actually had their domain suspended a little while ago due to the cp posted on it, although it could have also been the uncensored hentai since it is still based in japan.

@lina @hfaust i do like linux, don't get me wrong, but it does have some niggles to it that i just can't get over. like, literally i cannot fix them even with help from people who know what they're talking about xD

despite it being better for games in recent years, it still doesn't match performance despite being a lighter OS and there are still things that just don't work as well. that's not really a linux problem as much as it is a developer/publisher problem, though.

@lina @hfaust i've also paid for windows 8 (that upgraded to 10) with the first PC that i got, so whenever it doesn't activate for some reason at this point i just pirate it. sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn't, no idea why.

i'm assuming most people either get windows with their purchase, get it through a key reseller for cheaper, or they pirate it. i can't imagine many people actually buy windows at full price. even businesses and such buy them in bulk and get big discounts. but that's why there are ads for other microsoft products embedded within windows in the first place. not a problem if you know how to get rid of them, which only takes a little bit.

@lina @hfaust with how volatile linux is i like using windows way more, but since i know how to actually use it, it isn't so bad. when i help out people with their PCs though i'm always cringing at the default windows setup lol.

mac just doesn't speak to me, maybe it is just how often we had to use it as school with only one mouse button.
