i hate these videos that are like "i remade this game in 2 weeks!" then you watch it and it turns out they just put a bunch of shitty unreal engine assets and ripped assets from the game into the engine, boilerplated some gameplay, and it's still only one tiny area of the game.

@GinNig there is a slight difference, nadegata's look a teeny tiny bit softer but that's it. it's so close though it's a little sus....

If you don't want to watch the video, TL;DW is that a girl got kidnapped but was allowed to still use her Switch. Her friend saw her online which led to the proper authorities asking Nintendo for the IP address the Switch was connected to, which led to them getting the girl back.

I'm glad she is safe now, but I can't help thinking that this kind of thing will be used maliciously in the future. I don't trust Nintendo OR the FBI to act in our best interests all the time.

@icedquinn @LukeAlmighty I don't buy video games like, ever, but I play a lot of pso2 so I'm like, yeah spending $15-$20 on the only game I play every month is probably fine. It would be like buying a full game every few months, which I know lots of people do. If I put time into a free game I'm always down to pay for it.

I also look at it as a time VS money thing. I don't have as much time (or don't want to put in as much time) as I used to, but I do have a lot more money than I did, so I'm cool paying for things sometimes.

I'm hearing that sound of freedom is pretty good, but honestly I don't think I would be able to watch it. Even just seeing headlines about abused children is enough to kinda mess me up a bit, not gonna lie.

Playing some project+ with the homies and eatin pizza later today. Been craving getting my ass handed to me recently xD

@rosey that's exactly what i'm doing! i don't own a ps5, i just used my old roommate's right before he moved out to play it because i knew i wasn't gonna' have another chance. went through the game like it was a task to complete rather than a game to enjoy, and when i got to the main menu at the end of the game i realized how much i actually really liked it and got hit with the biggest post-game depression i've ever felt. knowing that i wasn't going to be able to play it again for the foreseeable future sucked. i wanted to 100% it so bad but i knew i didn't have the time.

like a month later the pc port got announced lol, i'm very happy :3

@beardalaxy excellent game on ps5, i'll probably take this chance to play through it again honestly

actually pretty respectable! nixxes is great with their PC ports.

i'll probably be playing at 1080p60 with RT. got a 2080Ti and an i5 10600k. i'll probably turn the RT off once i'm going for 100% just so i can watch videos while i'm playing lol.

i still highly recommend trying this game out, super glad it's coming to PC later this month :)
