I just decided to FINALLY finish the tears of the kingdom
@LukeAlmighty I guess you could try swapping out the battery if you care that much.

@LukeAlmighty yeah if you didn't try just keeping it on the dock for a bit it's worth a shot. Or if that doesn't work, plug the power cable into the switch directly because the dock could be broken too.
If that doesn't work then, damn. You're probably SOL unless you want to open the thing up and probably do some soldering/cleaning.

@LukeAlmighty what happened? Did the battery just dry out because you never charged it or something? Did you try leaving it on the dock for a while? Or is it actually bricked for some reason?
@LukeAlmighty thankfully I have a hacked switch and people make great mods for PS controls
@xianc78 @beardalaxy I keep waiting for Series E
first session of ghostrunner 2, pretty good so far. haven't really gotten to a lot of the new stuff though so i can't comment too much on that.
the game runs buttery smooth too... or it would, if it didn't have fucking traversal stutter. this is the major thing holding back unreal engine and it is super annoying. still, it's kind of nice being able to play a game at max settings, 1440p, 144fps. it looks nice, it plays nice, it's just those damn stutters that get in the way.
@BlinkRape @MK2boogaloo i've never had a desktop GPU but i've used AMD GPUs in laptops. i know they are slowly catching up to NVIDIA's technologies, but NVIDIA's video rendering and AI tech is still top notch, FSR sucks, and their frame-gen isn't even public yet (and when it is public, it'll probably be worse anyway, with the only boon being that you can use it on somewhat older GPUs). meanwhile NVIDIA is doing shit like improving their ray tracing pipeline and developing RTX Remix which is insanely cool tech.
i also think NVIDIA's just got better user interfaces and more capability for tweaking.
the only game that's actually done better in AMD GPUs that i can think of as of late is starfield, and that's not saying much.
the major reason i initially decided to go with NVIDIA was actually emulation, because AMD has notoriously sucked when it comes to emulators. vulkan has been its only saving grace.
@MK2boogaloo ehhhh, depends on what you consider "performance." raw performance, yes. the second you add anything that is advanced technology though, like upscaling or ray tracing, they underperform. Not to mention stuff like video rendering and AI that they just have next to no capability for.
@matrix girls will set up their gay friends with gay guys but not their straight friends with their straight friends ![]()
