@cyberanathema "eagerly limit our constitutional rights" what the fuck is that supposed to mean? we have a constitutional right to view child pornography? nani the fuck?
@RikaDerufu just tell him that and he probably won't care
@Baa this might be useful to you

i'm sorry you can't use EMS, it's a great balance between cost and fast shipping. DHL, from what I've heard, can be anywhere from a little bit more expensive to a lot more expensive. some people say it's less expensive than EMS. it's probably dependent on where you live. i don't think it would be £90 though regardless, i wouldn't expect your shipping to be that high with any method. the fumos are super light, so you shouldn't be too freaked out about shipping costs.
if you ARE really freaked out about shipping costs, then the link above does have a page that shows you pretty good price estimates for surface parcel, which likely won't be more than 2000 yen. that would be the much better option if you're worried about shipping costs, although it will obviously take longer to get to you it is definitely the safer option. that's what i went with when i got my flandre scarlet figure and it took a while to get to me but i didn't have a whole lot of money at the time, so i wanted to make sure it wouldn't cost too much.
@alyx idk if the Republicans will nominate Trump. I think we'll go back to being red but I don't think it will be Trump
@matana he's a local (Utah valley) guy actually, mastered in creative writing and has written a shit ton of books, actually gaining so much popularity that he was chosen to finish the wheel of time series (which is comparable to lord of the rings but not as popular) by the original (deceased) author's wife. Insanely good author, he certainly deserves all of his accolades and $$$.
Another good example would be Notch imo, he built one of the most popular games of all time and sold it for a shit load of money. Dude is set for life. He just created something unique. Toby Fox and ZUN, a lot of indie devs i think really fit the category of people who are "rich" (at least compared to your average Joe) but did it pretty much alone, with a lot of hard work and creativity and a love for what they do.
@VD15 it's important to find a niche but then also do some unique stuff within that niche.
@AP5vkIa @nukie @LukeAlmighty color profile works differently, i'm not sure exactly how or why but i can't ever get good results when i've messed around with it in various places. some TVs have a red/green shift and skewing that a bit towards red is a decent way of doing it, but going into the settings and changing the individual settings i can't ever get it to be the same. it kind of messes with the black/gray and even other colors too much. it's really more about trying to get the balance/contrast right. if you boost red it won't just boost RED but it will make other colors look more red. kind of hard to explain.
the windows colorblind mode JUST changes the colors themselves. if there's anything with red in it, it will boost it. if it's green, it desaturates it. it doesn't touch blue at all. i didn't even know Twitch was purple until i started using the windows colorblind mode lol. i thought it was blue.
here's an example. you can see how the colors change. blue doesn't change because it doesn't get touched by the filter at all. red and orange don't change probably because they're already super bright and can't really be saturated beyond that. yellow is a weird one, it does get paler even though i'm not sure it should, so it's probably up to some color ranges that mostly work but might just be a little bit off.
if you were color shifting like what you have posted there, you would end up with blue getting shifted a little bit too and your whites/grays would be more red for sure.
i did this while listening to utsu-p btw, and got the youtube "are you still watching?" notification two or three times lol.
i think vocaloids give me strength.
@nukie @LukeAlmighty i know it's kinda weird lol, there is ONE program that has it but it isn't a screen filter, it captures a window and puts it in its own window in a filter so it's not a really good solution.
there's also a problem with colorblind modes in general where they simulate colorblindness instead of correcting it. almost every video game's colorblind mode is like that. even ios and android are like that. windows isn't, though. it actually corrects it and does a really good job, i just wish i could control the strength of the filter because it kind of blows out reds a bit.
@nukie @LukeAlmighty me because i'm colorblind and linux doesn't have colorblind support
i still need to use one program to make quests for my game that doesn't work on linux too lol
otherwise i could switch right now and be totally fine
@LukeAlmighty lmao the fact they do this means they are just preying on people who don't know any better
@matana it depends on what you consider "rich" and what you consider "honest."
i think a lot of artists, musicians, sports players, authors, etc. have made their wealth in pretty honest ways. they aren't rich as the companies/owners they go through, who likely didn't make their riches through "honest ways," but i think the aforementioned people do work that people want to pay for and if they're good at what they do, they make more money doing it.
i mean, look at brandon sanderson who got almost $42M on kickstarter for his upcoming books. i would consider that man rich AND honest.
every disability comes with different challenges. it reminds me of this photo lol. having no arms or legs is a lot worse than just having no legs obviously, but you can still physically move, you can still talk and hear, you can still watch movies without having a seizure, heck you might even still be able to drive...
