You probably feel a lot like I did when I got covid. Rest and ibuprofen, plenty of water. Not much else you can really do but tough it out. Good luck man hope you feel better soon.
@mangeurdenuage @coolboymew idk if it is necessarily doom speech, it sounds more like a Japanese thing if you know what I mean lol
@sjw feel better or else ![]()
@girls they seem extremely inconsistent with their moderation
@coolboymew golden ages always end in dark ones, but it's cyclical.
@MK2boogaloo I'm definitely chaotic neutral
@EdBoatConnoisseur @Terry @MeBigbrain @rightwingsjw @Wolffkran try it in a pan so you can suffocate it
@Ronnie21093 what kind of ball did he get
@waifu "am I true neutral? Yes I am"
@Beefki it was to the point where I wasn't getting security updates anymore and unless my displays glitched out like they did I would have never known :x
@NotImportant in situations like this I'll wake up 100% alert, whereas when I sleep with an alarm clock and wake up when it tells me to I'll usually be pretty groggy and sometimes bordering on having a seizure, which is why I don't shower in the morning. Even if I get 8 hours of sleep, or more. Fun beard facts.
@Beefki that's the weird thing though, long story short I had a newer version of the same kernel installed but not activated and I was stuck on a previous one which ended up breaking everything. So I had to reinstall the whole OS.
@NotImportant I can't sleep unless I'm actually tired, unfortunately :P if I sleep before 12am it almost always ends up like this unless I've really had a jacked up day. it'd be nice to have a better sleep schedule but my brain disagrees with me on a lot of stuff so I kind of have to just figure it out sometimes. I have a mood disorder and that is primarily what screws my sleep up, my brain is pretty jank though so I wouldn't be surprised if my circadian rhythm was unusual or something too though. I work best when I don't worry about my sleep or when I wake up and just go with the flow but that's easier said than done especially when you have a job lol.
@Mr_NutterButter I've got a friend who remembers this, although for him it was more or less a "whatever" kind of thing. He was just chilling and realized he existed more or less. I mean this is coming from a guy who potty trained himself though so he's an interesting fellow xD
I definitely did not have this happen. Watching these family VHS tapes back, most of it I don't actually remember even if I was like 14. On the other hand, I have some pretty vivid memories from preschool. I oddly don't remember 9/11 whatsoever despite almost being 6, but I do remember being 4 or 5 and doing various things in preschool. They aren't just memories of being on autopilot either, like I knew what I was doing and what I was thinking about and the emotion attached.
So it's not like I feel I ever "gained consciousness" or something, it's mainly been a rolling thing. There are moments where I'm acutely aware of myself and some where I'm totally detached, even now.
This is somewhat related, but there's a weird thing I have where I'll play a game I haven't played in a long time or watch a movie I haven't seen in a long time and have no memory of certain things that end up affecting me way more. The Last of Us is a prime example of that. I played it when it came out in pretty much a single sitting and I don't remember a single thing about the game from that other than the actual environment I was playing the game in (unfinished basement on a CRT). I was 17. When I played the remaster a few years later that's when the game's story and everything actually really HIT me. However, without looking at exact dates I don't remember the actual environment I played it in off the top of my head. It's interesting what we latch on to depending on tons of different factors.
@matrix it's kind of weird looking at them... Like they have the faces of extremely famous people but something is off, and it is kind of uncanny.
@tomie DRM also undoubtedly plays a part in many cases. Pso2 actually just switched their anticheat and that increased performance by a decent amount. It's certainly possible that devs aren't optimizing with DRM in mind.
@tomie new engine, inexperienced devs, incompetent shareholders/publishers. Even with ue4 there are STILL games that stutter all over the place and that can be mitigated but just isn't. If you look at fortnite, it doesn't really have these issues and that's because it is developed by the people who made the engine.
I am also of the opinion that just in general, not just in unreal, devs are pushing systems way too hard and not optimizing things very often. That can come as a result of publisher intensity, but there's also a certain point where it's obvious that the devs are relying too heavily on hardware that doesn't exist yet, or features like upscaling (the finals doesn't let you play without some kind of upscaling tech as far as I can tell, which is crazy).
