@frost @Aldo2 we're getting into a more hypothetical debate at this point instead of what actually occurred and at this point it'll probably devolve several times over and we'll all end up having the exact same opinions we did at the start of it anyway

@Aldo2 if someone seeks out or generates realistic AI porn of children i believe they are a pedophile, yes.

@Aldo2 you're reading it completely wrong.
1. tip was related to 18 files containing csam
2. further investigation revealed 134 videos of csam
3. warrant is served
4. they find AI CSAM and other related evidence

i thought your post was about prager at first but yeah nick and anyone who actually likes him are retarded too.

AI CSAM is regarded as such because it is trained on actual children and in some cases, actual child porn. it can very easily be abused by taking photos of actual children and using AI to undress them and there are minors who are actually dealing with this sort of trouble in school.

even a place like allthefallen has extremely strict rules on how realistic AI can get. baraag bans realistic AI images. there's a reason for that.

@LukeAlmighty the difference is that people like us don't rally to change it because we realize that things can have different meanings even if it's a lil weird

@LukeAlmighty maybe that's how people who look at "master" and "slave" terms in code feel

@Aldo2 the tip comes from the NCMEC, who in the past has told people to stop reporting loli because it is a waste of their resources.

here's an article about the actual law from california: a23.asmdc.org/press-releases/2

a lot of governments across the united states and the world are starting to ban this, and it is pretty clear to me that it refers to realistic AI that actually resembles children and is trained on actual children.

this article also states that he had uploaded 134 videos of csam, which is completely different than ai generated images: timesnownews.com/world/us/us-n

@coolboymew @VD15 @Ace66062 digital foundry seem to think it'll have around the power of a base ps4 when docked, but with how well nintendo typically optimizes games and newer architecture i can imagine it'll perform pretty well. but yeah, portable mode is going to need some serious help if they want the battery to last a reasonable amount of time.

my main hopes are
1) that it has better joysticks, fuck the joycons
2) that it can be hacked, and for that reason i'm going to buy it as soon as possible and keep it offline for as long as possible lol

JUST IN - Washington Post cartoonist Darrin Bell arrested for possession of child pornography.

@Mr_NutterButter which side is which side, in your opinion? i'm definitely someone who views things more through the spiritual lens but realizes that the material world still exists and is home to our spirits.

personally, i think AI has some great uses as long as it is curated by humans. when it is just left to run amok it's absolute garbage. for instance, for image generation, if you want something that actually looks really good you can be looking at hours of your time spent tweaking prompts and generating things until you find something pleasing. for things like code, or answers to questions, it can often just be flat out wrong and you still have to have a certain level of knowledge to know that it is wrong to begin with.

i also see AI as being a sort of "genre" in of itself when we're talking about entertainment. the best examples of that have a great degree of human tweaking behind them, such as the artist Glorb who uses AI character voices. it's really not that far removed from Vocaloids.

I had an epiphany at work today. I always thought "Kokiri" was just a made up name, and it may still very well be, but if you were to say it was Japanese, "ko" means "child" and "kiri" means "fog." Given that the Kokiri are children and that Kokiri Village is right in the middle of the Lost Woods, which is covered in fog and gets it name because of the people who get lost in it, this interpretation makes a lot of sense!

I wasn't sure about Koroks, so I looked that one up and it appears that it might be a derivative of the Japanese word "Koropokkuru" which is a race of people/creatures in Japanese folklore that are small, like to stay hidden, and live under plants. I can definitely see that being the inspiration for Koroks!
