There are a lot of N64 decompilation projects going on, but I'm surprise to see that SF64 is not one of them. At least not listed on this site.

@werwolf @kev I don't know why he doesn't just use LBRY/Odysee. It seems like everyone else is switching too it. Not just political dissidents.

@beardalaxy I remember poking around the SM64 decomp and I found the code hard to navigate.

@beardalaxy C is pretty different from modern languages, though. You have to worry about memory allocation, dangling pointers, among other things.

@beardalaxy I know it's possible, but OOT was programmed in C and C code can be a mess and I'm not that experienced in C (I'm spoiled by modern languages).

@matana @LukeAlmighty @beardalaxy You're required to provide a ROM to abstract the assets. That's how they get around copyright infringement.

@beardalaxy I really want to mod something in like replacing the MIDI music with and orchestral soundtrack, but my C programming knowledge is too limited.

@matrix Though you can't use Windows Forms (the standard GUI library), unfortunately. You have to use GTK# instead.

@matrix With Mono and .NET Core, yes. I develop games in C# and I use Linux.

@Mogami @coolboymew Depends on the thickness, but household drywall is as weak as fucking cardbord. My bedframe has punctured a bunch of holes in the wall and it ticks me off.
