You can secure your privacy on modern cars, it just takes work. You can find bypass harnesses on a lot of forums, or plans to make them. You often have to crack open your dash and find the modem.
You can't just pull the fuse because almost every manufacturer wires it in such a way that if you pull the modem fuse, you loose bluetooth and one speaker (used for the on-star shit).

@Zergling_man @grey Kit cars are a thing, but they are made from salvaged parts of old cars. They're even legal if you can get them registered.
@Zergling_man @grey I get your reasoning, but I feel like the "don't buy any new x" is just a band-aid solution as all cars eventually die and given that a lot of people are fed up with the bullshit of new cars, I see used car prices skyrocketing in the coming years.
There truly is an untapped market for dumb cars, but given the heavy regulations in the car industry that prevents any newcomers, I don't see that happening anytime soon.

I'm never buying a modern car.
@Alex To be fair, the generative AI could make something that is heavily inspired but not something that would normally be copyright infringing if done by a human.
My game is using a few AI generated assets (text and backgrounds) and they are too generic to be infringing on anyone's copyright.
Has anyone else noticed that the same people who are criticizing generative AI for "stealing" people's intellectual property are the same people who were claiming that copyright is an outdated concept, years ago?

@LukeAlmighty I don't think black people actually get that treatment during black history month. It's mostly to honor famous black people throughout history. I never see any of my black peers getting any special treatment during this month.

Added a "death animation" for bosses (actually for all enemies but I don't think it works well with them when I tested it) instead of just a single frame. There is supposed to be an additional frame but it doesn't appear in game.

@hfaust I'm starting to think that social media sites adding ActivityPub support is kind of a way to keep a platform relevant. If a userbase is dwindling then it just leads to even more people leaving the site. Adding federation seems like a last ditch effort because it gives your userbase more people to interact with. So it isn't really surprising that Tumblr is adding federation.
