It seems like the only way you can end up as a successful game developer is if you grew up with your own computer and your parents gave you unlimited computer privileges.

Trying to replace the BS Zelda male avatar sprite with something that I own (well a modified version of a public domain sprite).

I'm not a good pixel artist when it comes to humanoid characters. I tried to get help on OGA's forums, but activity is too low on that place and I don't know anywhere else that I can get help. This probably won't be the final sprite, but I'm running out of options, and I want to get this game done so I can move on.

I don't like the time change, but daylights saving time is the superior time

I like it being 7PM and there's still light outside, it's especially godly in the summer when that stretches up to 9PM

Oh, #ChronoTrigger is trending because it came out 30 years ago.

I remember playing it on an SNES emulator long after its release (and long after I've gotten rid of my actual SNES). I have great memories of the game but I haven't played enough JRPGs to compare it to others. Never played any #FinalFantasy games for example.

But I guess I made a good pick with Chrono Trigger. It seems to be regarded as one of the best games of its kind.

@WALFTEAM Not just that, but also attacked by every single TV station.

By this I mean, if you're an old person who only uses AOL/Yahoo, and your only exposure to CL is the bad PR of "the craigslist killer" on slop true crime shows or some "I-Team" or "Problem Solver" team talking about some retard falling for shit on Craigslist.

These are the same people who keep car dealers in business because everyone selling a used car is a scammer.

Hello Mastodon! I'm a power engineer who is trying out solo game development and on the way to release Power Network Tycoon - a game where you build and manage your own electrical grid with real physics simulation.

If you've ever wondered how power systems actually work (or why they fail), this might be your jam. I built it to be technically accurate while still being fun. To say it's been a challenge is an understatement

I worked with a Romanian girl who was all for this. She bought the narrative from her media saying the elections had to be stopped because the judges found evidence of "Russian Interference." The elections from last year have been rescheduled for May. It's fucked up.

So apparently, there are riots going on in Romania and it's because a truly independent presidential candidate won the first round of elections, despite not being on the ballot, yet he had his victory voided, despite the Romanian courts initially accepting his victory.

I don't know much about this guy, but he actually and surprisingly does seem genuine. He is 100% anti-COVID vaccine, against funding Ukraine (while also not being pro-Russia), and is skeptical of both the Apollo moon landings and 9/11.

I mean, wow! I never would think a truly independent candidate would get that far in this day and age, but it shouldn't be surprising that the courts would void the election. Now people are taking on to the streets about it.

I'd say to keep an eye on the situation. Things might get interesting.

@PurpCat @Forestofenchantment That's so pathetic. I never liked Reddit in the first place, but they seem to have started out as something at least respectable. However, they never seem to stop finding a way to become much worse in terms of moderation and features.
