@icedquinn @LukeAlmighty it might be able to, but the dynamic scaling the switch really does is just running at a resolution and then upscaling it. no AI involved, probably just bilinear scaling or something.

the game runs at 810p max docked, and can go below 480p handheld :P

@icedquinn @LukeAlmighty their ambition got the best of them i think. check out the video if you're interested, there are plenty other issues with like super low quality textures and stuff, and the game never actually manages to run at 60fps.

the main problem seems to be the switch's memory, which is only 4gb clocked at 1600mhz. yeah.... that's low as shit. it's a miracle games can even be made for the console at all at this point.

@icedquinn @LukeAlmighty taken from a DF youtube video so they won't be as crisp as they would be in the game, but that's another problem: they're bad for video compression too.

@LukeAlmighty @icedquinn we will likely continue to see those shitty effects on games made with engines that were meant to be used for last gen hardware. pso2 ngs is the same way, although it isn't super bad it can still be a little annoying... it was made on an engine used for ps4/switch/xbox one.

@LukeAlmighty @icedquinn yeah it's because they don't care to change it from the console origins because it would probably mean they'd have to redo some rendering stuff. i mean, they couldn't be arsed to make the frame rate behave the same way as the switch version either lol xD

i think that if bayonetta 3 was made for a more powerful console, there's a possibility they could at least tone down the effect, but right now it's in every single layer of transparency and it looks awful.

@icedquinn @LukeAlmighty first game is still the best imo, second game was good but the story was fuckin weird and there's this annoying ass kid that's always around.

i won't play the third game until there's more powerful hardware to play it on. not talking just emulation to boost fps/resolution either, but like those fucking dithering effects are mainly what's preventing me from playing the game.

@mizuki @LukeAlmighty @kura everyone here in the US says that the minimum to tip is 12%. If your meal is only like $15 that's not a whole lot of money. if my waiter was a dick i won't tip them at all, but if i liked them i'll normally leave $5.

@LukeAlmighty idk how it is elsewhere in the world, but in the US, waiters get less than minimum wage in order to incentivize them treating the customers well so that they get tips. if you're a crusty cum sock to everyone, you won't make money.

it keeps prices down for the restaurant too.

the amount that people generally say is the minimum to tip, 12%, isn't that expensive either. waiters actually end up getting paid pretty well if they do a good job.

honestly i would rather have it like this, than getting paid minimum wage and making a commission percentage, because with getting tips you know it's because people liked having you as their waiter but with commission it's just because you convinced them to buy a product.
