@ChristiJunior there was certainly some voter fraud going on as well lol xD i'd suggest the best way to combat that in the future be to only count text reply votes from accounts older than a month old or something, but that would require a lot more work for something that's ultimately just supposed to be for fun. i'm the kind of person that would get that autistic but i don't expect anyone else to xD

@veru i'd recommend setting it all up on your own since this method can lag a bit behind on updates, and if you do it yourself you can update things immediately when they're present.

but you can check out fediverse.express if you're just looking for a simple way to make an instance! :) i tried making a misskey one at first and there were some unique features there, but ultimately i went with pleroma.

then the people i made the instance for stopped using it. i updated it manually at one point to fix something, and then something else broke because of a regression in that update, so i tried to update automatically through f.e but the way it sets up the initial install is really weird so since i had done some manual tinkering it fucked the entire instance.

if i ever make another one i'll probably do it by hand.

@LukeAlmighty i've noticed a lot of people go to church SPECIFICALLY for the community, more or less, especially when it comes to non-denominational Christians. they all might have some slightly different beliefs on things and they are a lot more relaxed on that sort of thing, and they gather pretty frequently. at the end of the day though it's still a pastor preaching to them and then asking for their money, though. i guess it becomes more like a club with a president than a religion at that point, but i can't subscribe to that with a clean conscience.

@Nesano @TornadoOfTerror i actually really enjoyed uncharted 1 and 2, 3 had awesome multiplayer but i could tell they were starting to stretch the franchise a little bit.

then druckmann took over for uncharted 4 and it was shit.

i also really like the first last of us, but i understand why it wouldn't be everyone's cup of tea because the gameplay does leave something to be desired. i still think it's really good, though, and i hate how much it got fucked over. i like the game, but i hate what it did to naughty dog and honestly the industry as a whole.

jak and crash are good too, though. they definitely represent a better era of naughty dog that they will never return to. i mean damn, uncharted 3 multiplayer was so connected to the community and they had like 4 different thrusting emotes and a lot of funny skins and stuff, but then all that got thrown away in favor of making dogshit for an entirely different audience.

@LukeAlmighty yeah don't worry lol, i'm not usually one to get mad over comparisons like that haha. we all experience things differently and being able to relate to each other at any level is good.

well, i won't speak too much about the aftermath because that gets into a completely different can of worms, but long story short it fucked up a lot of stuff with family and friends. i think i kind of took a lot of people with me though lol, after the initial shock of "beard isn't mormon anymore?!" they started to realize that i was still myself, but a lot better off for it. 4/5 of my closest friends, my mom, and my brother left the church a little while after. so thankfully i wasn't completely outcast, but it was definitely rocky there for a while and there are still some recovering relationships.
