@ehhh @cyberanathema @WolfJay i played new horizons every day since it had come out but a few months after the release, my nintendo account got hacked and the dude bought like $1,000 worth of fortnite crap. it all got charged back and my account got banned to protect it. it took me 3 months to get the account unbanned, and during that time new horizons got an update that for some reason required me to go online... and since i was banned, i couldn't.
then pso2 global came out pretty much right after that and i never played animal crossing again. i still have my save file but sold the game recently because it was just collecting dust. better that someone else got some joy out of it. maybe i'll revisit it one day. i think i'd rather start from scratch on like new leaf though instead. not a huge fan of all the crafting stuff in new horizons.
@matana wife ![]()
@matana you wanna hear something disgusting?
@hideki some channels have sponsor segments that are actually pretty funny, like brutalmoose, so i'll normally stick around for them because they just feel like part of the video. fuck jontron for doing an entire video for a sponsor though.
otherwise i'm using sponsorblock all day.
@WolfJay @cyberanathema i'll never forget being completely alone on my birthday in like 2017 without anyone saying happy birthday to me, booting up my 3DS and going into my animal crossing house to see all of my favorite villagers there wishing me a happy birthday. i know that they're all just programmed to do that, but it felt really nice to have these "people" that i visited with and helped out on an almost daily basis show up at my "house" and surprise me.
the game was actually originally created as a way for college students away from home to feel like they still had a sort of family in the game, and for parents who rarely got to see their kids (because they work so much) to be able to interact with them in the game since you can share a town. it's very sweet.
@LukeAlmighty @cyberanathema @matana @matrix @blackjackson there's a story like this with a super fat woman who had like a miscarried fetus or something in her fat folds. pretty fucked.
whang! on youtube is full of these things. here's another good one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rMJa7ixtfwY
@cyberanathema @LukeAlmighty @matana @matrix @blackjackson that's just hentai
@dommymommy i'm just going to assume we're ruling out insects since i already said i'm afraid of bees.
off the top of my head, i don't like fish. i like to eat them, but as pets they're boring as fuck (unless you have a lot of them but that's so much upkeep to just basically use as a status symbol that you can afford a shit load of exotic fish) and i hate when you're at the lake/ocean and they're just swimming around your feet, makes me feel gross.
@dommymommy basically with my art i either like it to be cute or haunted there's no in between xD
@dommymommy the two people i immediately think of when i'm asked what my favorite art is are Alke and Alphonse. the former's art is so innocent and playful, and the latter's is very painterly and just has this excellent composition to it. don't go looking them up unless you're looking for loli stuff though lol.
i am also a fan of Beksinski, having learned about him only recently, but his art is truly haunting.
i like Bill Stoneham's art as well, who is mostly known for "The Hands Resist Him," a so-called haunted painting. there's something about his artwork that is kind of nostalgic. the one here is called "Resistance at the Threshold" and shows the doll and the boy but as an old man.
there's many more, but those are just what came to mind immediately. these are my favorite (sfw) pictures from all the artists mentioned in order.
@oss @dommymommy hello shikamaru
@dommymommy that i'm a pickle. when i feel like it.
for real though, the trait i'm proudest of is my integrity. i can be proud of it because it's something i feel like i earned, and it wasn't easy. so many people just let everyone else take control of them and that was me for a very long time.
@son_of_the_paladin@baraag.net @Kionant it's wild you don't know cherry she got pretty big in 2016-2017 or so.
oh god... it's been 5-6 years....
