@alyx ray tracing works BEST in older games that just used like baked lighting or other really primitive methods. for new games it is often times barely noticeable, but it can transform minecraft/quake to a large degree.

nvidia had a video about adding ray tracing to morrowind and it really changed how that game looks too. better lighting really changes how a game looks.

@furgar i actually think this might be more a problem with operating systems/their drivers than the printers themselves.

printing from linux has been the easiest thing ever. i've legit been scared away from doing anything with a printer because of how shitty it is trying to print on mac or windows. on linux, absolutely zero issues. everyone at work is always asking me to print stuff off because my laptop works better than theirs.

@hideki i don't think it is art either, it is image generation. if you edit the AI image that comes out, then i would say it is photo manip. if you use the AI image that comes out within another art piece, i don't think that changes the art being art, it just means you used an AI tool in the development of that art.

for instance, if someone painted astronauts on a spaceship and they are looking down at a planet that was generated by AI, i'd still say the piece is a work of art.

one of the player characters died.

he was immediately brought back because someone has access to resurrection, but it was through a wish feature that only had one more use.
