@caekislove @flappypaddle nope that's the lower end one. it's less than $300 which is why i said it's a good value, especially if you don't mind not having ray tracing or resolutions above 1080p (i don't).

@matrix @hj put a frame limiter on because the game will run faster the more you go over 30fps.

well, finished my final forms for disability. i have doubts i'll actually get it. most months i make just over the required amount (which is absurdly low btw) but the months i don't are the ones where i actually need it. i wish i didn't need it in the first place because i hate taking money from people and i hate filling out all this bullshit and reporting my earnings all the time.

@MischievousuTomatosu porn, IDC, hentai.....fuck you I'll kill fuckers over trying to take my lewd waifus away.

@matrix @hj emulator probably still has some kinks to iron out. I'm playing overclocked on a switch and it's 30 most of the time, though the drops are noticeable. But it has double buffered vsync, like botw did, so if it drops below 30 it'll lock to 20 instead. Cinematic.

You can try playing in handheld mode which might give you better FPS but lower resolution. Or maybe uncheck vsync? Idk if that works or not.

@flappypaddle @caekislove the series s is actually a really good prospect for the money. You get a pretty capable emulation box, the ability to play new and old Xbox games, and a 4k Blu ray player. It's not super powerful but I can see why it would be pretty nice to have over other machines.

@matrix I think it was that Nintendo prioritizes ideas before system power. When the Switch was created, it would have cost a lot more money to get something that performed better in such a small form factor and still maintain a good battery life. Idk if it would even be plausible. It's only just recently that there is even a competitor to it, the Steam Deck, and even that costs more money for the most basic version.

@LukeAlmighty if you're on the fence about it, might be good to just wait for the next switch to see if it's improved at all or wait for the emulator bois to do their thing

@LukeAlmighty idk yet honestly. I like it because I'm a big zelda fan, but it might not be worth it if you aren't, and especially if you don't like breath of the wild. I've played for about 8 hours now and only just barely started getting a hang of the controls lol.

The Switch is really showing its age. I've got an over clock on and TotK still lags frequently. There are some graphical limitations that are pretty glaring as well, such as waterfalls being solid.

Tears of the Kingdom bug, important if you're playing not too much of a spoiler

If you place any Zonai technology down, save your game, then load again it's gone forever. Beware.

@Tadano @williampietri i spent about 30 minutes trying to find the video of terry talking about how niggers don't like the command line and i can't find it

venmo may be one of the worst apps ever. it's laggy as hell and every time it gets updated the ui becomes worse. now i can't even say "i want x amount from these people" i have to type in the total amount for it to automatically split or type in the amount per person manually.

@l0ngyap i can still see them if i click on them because they load in the browser, just not in the interface.
