@Mr_NutterButter @LukeAlmighty I will have high schoolers ask me if I would go back to high school and I'm always like, fuck no! It's refreshing for them to hear because even their parents muse about how they wish they could go back to high school because it was so easy. I think a lot of adults REALLY just forget how it is to be a kid.

@xianc78 @matrix people would just be paying for news updates more or less. I haven't built the game in a way that I don't feel comfortable letting people outside of my circle play it until the beta is done. Perhaps I could ask for money to get into the beta, but since the game is going to be free with optional paid content, I kind of feel bad doing that.

I'm also in the business of making adventure games with mostly linear stories, so I feel like that's not as good of an approach for rolling releases during development, like early access, as something with a much tighter gameplay loop where they're just adding more content to experience that gameplay loop.

@xianc78 I'll go back to high school and there will be some really weird shit. Once the school was underwater and the color of the water changed throughout the day from blue to pink to yellow, etc. Like swimming through Gatorade. Or another time, the choir/band room was actually a massive indoor nature sanctuary and they were teaching game dev in a cabin. Sometimes the school itself is just incredibly labyrinthine.
