@Remington @natsock @JEJ Get a flash cart.
@coolboymew Imagine getting a break when you already have blue balls.
@ChristiJunior@neckbeard.xyz @natsock @JEJ The DS Zeldas get a lot of unjustified hate but I feel like the could've been a lot better. I never played Metroid Prime Hunters, but I heard that the control scheme was a huge problem and that it plays more like Doom or Quake than Metroid. But like SM64DS it was meant to show off the DS's 3D capabilities. An FPS just seemed logical.
Just looking at Nintendo's flagship titles on the DS, you see a pattern:
* Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks are considered the weakest mainline Zelda games
* Metroid Prime Hunters is considered the worst Metroid game (maybe besides Other M but I see more people hating on that one's story)
* Star Fox Command is considered the worst Star Fox game and put the series on hiatus for almost a decade
Besides Mario and Pokemon these are Nintendo's most well known franchises and they seem to hit their low points on the DS. I can't think of any other system with this many low-points on flagship franchises.
@natsock @JEJ 2D games aged fine, but most of the 3D games have aged horribly. They're even worse than 3D PS1 games that required the D-pad IMO, but I have never owned a 3DS so I don't know how they improve with the circle pad. Worst offenders go to the games that (almost) entirely use the touchscreen.
@JEJ It is filled with watered-down console ports and movie/TV licensed trash, but there are some hidden gems.
I might go out and say it has aged better than the original DS library since the games weren't relying on gimmicks.
@ChristiJunior@neckbeard.xyz @estrogenius @moth @mrsaturday @TheQuQu I think it's natural for parents to want at least one of their children to have children of their own, but I think most of them don't care if one of their children happens to be gay or whatever.
@mrsaturday @estrogenius @moth @TheQuQu
>That's not even getting into teenagers' natural inclination to believe that parents are being unnecessarily cruel or overbearing when they're often just trying to curb their more harmful impulses.
This. It makes me mad when I see slightly more reasonable people argue that teens can think for themselves. I don't think it's okay for teens to get HRT either. Teenagers go through phases. A lot of them "experiment" with LGBT lifestyles (bi-curious is common with teenagers). A lot of them are going to regret it. I can't tell you how many people I know who came out as gay or bisexual back in high school and later found out they're really straight. At least with that you aren't permanently mutilating your body.
The pinkpill/egg hatching side of the trans community is gonna inherently end up normalizing pedophilia. No matter how much they try to draw a shaky line in the sand to stop it.
There’s this set of in-baked assumptions:
This new generation of kids knows more about sex and gender than previous generations of adults, especially their parents.
Children and young teens are able to consent to complex procedures and activities involving sex and gender, and should be able to override the will of their parents.
Children and young teens know what they want to do with their bodies better than adults, and should be encouraged to override constraints set by their parents.
These are dangerous barriers to break down and it should really stop. Most parents would be horrified at what goes on in the average Discord room.
@beardalaxy 20 years doesn't seem that old for a house.
OPEN THE FUCKING ECONOMY. This shit is beyond logic.
